Borne from a need for British companies to have a representative to regulators, the job of corporate brokers has evolved over time. Today, Corporate Brokers are trusted and strategic advisers to company boards and management teams.

Featuring Kunal Gandhi and Tom Macdonald

As the operating environment for UK companies becomes more complex and globalized, the need for steady, reliable guidance has only increased. Fortunately, there is a service particular to the UK that provides exactly this.

Originally created from a legislative requirement to have someone act as a representative for companies to regulators, the uniquely British role of the corporate broker has grown over the years to meet the growing demand for strategic advice.

Corporate brokers help companies navigate capital markets, providing counsel about market conditions and investor interest, and help companies make informed decisions about growth plans and strategic opportunities.

Their responsibilities include:

Providing strategic advice on local and global market conditions

Keeping CEOs and management teams up to date on regulatory issues

Supporting companies with mergers and acquisitions, and equity and debt capital raises

Helping prepare interim and full-year results

Assisting with stakeholder communications

In a rapidly changing world, with news breaking almost constantly and affecting global business prospects, having deep-rooted, cross-product and market expertise is essential. That’s why having a skilled corporate broking team is an invaluable asset for any British company wanting to realise its long-term ambitions.
