The Excellence in Leadership – Western Europe for Covid response award pointed to our partnership with European sovereign clients, and the deals we have executed for countries including Spain, Belgium and Austria.
As Euromoney states; “Leadership in the debt markets became especially apparent after the coronavirus struck, as Barclays arranged almost half of commercial paper issuance under the Bank of England’s Covid corporate financing facility scheme, amounting to £9.9billion by late May.”
The magazine also acknowledged Barclays’ £100m Covid-19 Community Aid package which was launched in April to support vulnerable people impacted by Covid-19, and to alleviate the associated social and economic hardship caused by the crisis.
