The Donmar Warehouse is a 250-seat theatre founded in 1992 by Sam Mendes, and now led by Josie Rourke and Kate Pakenham. Over the last 25 years the Donmar has become synonymous with artistic excellence and attracts the industry’s leading artists to its stage, including Eddie Redmayne (Red), Tom Hiddleston (Coriolanus), Dame Judi Dench (Madame de Sade, The Vote) and Ewan McGregor (Othello).
The Donmar is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading producing theatres, with over 100 awards to its name.
Barclays Investment Bank became Principal Sponsor of the Donmar in 2007 and over the last 10 years we have worked with Donmar’s leadership to grow the theatre’s core ambitions of excellence, access and innovation. Barclays Front Row was launched in 2012, making £10 best seats available to the public. The scheme revolutionised the way audiences’ access the work of the Donmar with over 32,000 tickets sold through the three-year initiative.
