Positive session for European stocks

  • After a weak start, European equities have recovered during the morning, with the Eurostoxx currently c.1.2% up. In rates, the 10y Bund has remained broadly unchanged at 17bp, while peripheral vs core spreads have tightened slightly.
  • The USD has strengthened further across currencies, with the market increasingly pricing in the possibility of near-term Fed action. Latest polls showing increasing support for the UK remaining in EU continue to support GBP, which has posted a 0.7% rally vs. USD this morning during the BoE Testimony to the Treasury Select Committee.
